PhotoPals

PhotoPals

teaches children technical photography skills, and enables participating students to use compact digital cameras to explore their lives at school, in their homes, and within their community. Students are encouraged to see their world in new ways, to develop their own photographic style, and to reflect on how their images are meaningful to them. Students share their images and reflections with their fellow classmates, their home community, and communities located around the world.

By sharing their images and values, PhotoPals students may gain a greater sense of place within their home community and develop cross-cultural connections with students their own age in communities around the world. These exchanges also provide an excellent opportunity for students to practice their non-native language speaking, writing, and reading skills.
